An Exploration of Pop as a Platform for the Dissemination of Critical Content


This thesis aims to exploit the pop music industry’s connection to branding in order to disseminate critical content to a large audience. It explores cultural technology as a compositional strategy and method for contemporary music. It examines the music industry’s contemporary relation to advertising, pop culture and the Internet.
