Piyenji is a miniature gallery: it showcases collections of iMessage stickers made by artists, animators, and illustrators.

The phone-based Piyenji recontextualizes the notion of gallery in a highly personal, individual, and distributed manner, and activates the viewer as a participant in the work.

Piyenji’s first collection launched with James Orlando, He + Hu and Jacqueline Jing Lin and was created and curated by Hello Velocity.

Piyenji launched as part of Biggercode gallery’s inaugural show Close, but not touching curated by James Chen and Kristen Lee.

At Close, but not touching, Piyenji displayed a live interactive iMessage chat for all the opening viewers to participate in along with a series of Lenticular Prints of the stickers.
